Every month the membership at the Tech Podcast Network put on a live event Saturday afternoon to talk about cool and innovative products. This month we are finalizing our agenda for our Live event on June 3rd and I thought I would extend an opportunity to any tech company that would like to come on and demonstrate there product, website or service. We have some time slots available.
The attendance is usually around 50 participants but once we post the video of the event we have had as high as 25,000 downloads with an average of 10,000 downloads for the longtail exposure. Free publicity for your company that money can’t buy.

Today the team at Podcast Connect refreshed the Podcast Awards site in preparation for the 2006 People’s Choice Podcast Awards with nominations scheduled to kick off July 1st. With a revised category list that we feel we is well positioned to bring maximum exposure to all the 2006 nominees and ultimate winners. We will honor the winning podcasters at a ceremony to be held during the Podcast and Portable Media Expo on Sept 29th.

“Essentially the National Library Service For The Blind (NLS) pulled the plug on a service called Web Braille that allowed only authenticated users to download Braille files in a BRF format of books and magazines in the NLS library collection. These files are readable on devices with refreshable Braille displays or other text-to-speech enabled players. While NLS has not released any official reason for the cessation of service, it is believed it is due to fears about copyright restrictions.”
