The Power of Membership Programs

The Power of Membership Programs

by Peter Dobler

Membership programs are the best way to create residual income. You know the kind of income that is coming in month after month for years to come or at least as long as the referral remains a member of the service you sold.

There is no difference in how you advertise for this programs compared to how you advertise for one time sales like ebooks or software. There are membership programs available for almost every thing you can imagine. It would take weeks for you to sort through all the possibilities.

In my opinion membership programs are the best products to advertise for. Even if you only sell one membership per month. Doesnt sound much, doesnt it? But its probably more realistic than the high flying promises of the membership program owners. Focus for just a minute and follow my math.

1 membership sale per month. Lets say your commission is $5, this is a realistic amount not a fantasy commission nobody ever gets. After selling this program for 1 year you have 12 paid memberships, which now totals $60 per month. Plus the commission from all the other members as well. You will earn $390 in your first year. Hmm, not quite enough to quit my job.

Lets continue. The second year you already start with 12 members and $60. By the end of the second year you have 24 members and $120 residual income per month, which is $1110 per year. If you continue this for the period of 5 years your monthly residual income will be $300.

Ok, still not exited. I dont blame you. Heres what you can do. Run free classified ads and slightly increase your sales rate to lets say 1 membership sales per week. You just shortened to length of time to get $300 a month from 5 years to 1 year. Now lets further assume that you promote more than 1 program. Promoting 5 membership programs at the same time is no big deal to do and it will increase your monthly income from $300 to $1,500.

Of course these are all just numbers and speculations. To make my point. Selling on the internet is a numbers game. To make the numbers work you need to sell a lot and often. Membership programs are a perfect product to get the most out of your advertising efforts. Remember: The income potential is too low to run massive paid advertising. Stick to free classified ads and use the method “set and forget”. The less attention you pay the more effective your campaign will be.

This is my list of membership programs that are free to join as an affiliate. They never will cost you any money to promote their membership program. Remember, the subscribers are making you money not the program.

• Search Engine Blaster - Search engine submission service for a monthly fee.

• The Secret To Their Success - Corey Rudls membership program for power affiliates.

• Guru Mailer - This is the premium email list builder. Solid performance and quality leads.

• Convert More Traffic - This is the premium membership site that offers proven tactics and strategies to improve your traffic conversion rates. You can have all the traffic in the world as long as you cant get any profit out of it its useless.

The Best Credit Card Promotions

The Best Credit Card Promotions

by Nicky Pilkington

In determining which credit card to choose, its best to know the purpose of getting the card. Credit card companies may offer cards to their clients that have flexible terms with varying annual percentage rates or APRs. In choosing a credit card, an individual will need to study carefully and understand the purpose for getting the credit card.

Different credit cards have different features, APRs, annual membership fees and promotions that they provide their users.

Some credit cards may offer low APRs with no annual membership on the first few years of use although these may change to higher APRs and varying membership costs after the expiration of their waived membership fees and low APRs. In this example, the use of this particular credit card may only be applicable for short term use as there may be other credit cards available that offers fixed lower than current industrys standard APRs. There are also credit cards offered in the market that waives the annual membership fees on a longer term basis as long as the credit card user is able to meet specific purchase and payment targets.

There are credit card companies on the other hand that offers reward points that provides flexibility in choosing how the rewards will be redeemed. Rewards points accumulated from purchases can be redeemed in the form of gifts, appliances, furniture, or even travel miles. For a frequent traveler whos also a frequent credit card user, he can maximize the rewards system provided by credit card companies that offers travel perks with their frequent flyer programs.

There are merchants in the business of retail that are also offering credit cards to help promote the sales of their products. A retail company selling products on the internet may offer credit cards under major credit card companies. While the credit card is technically a standard credit card that can be used in purchases from various establishments, the retail company that provides the credit card rewards the consumer with reward points depending on the amount of purchases made. The reward points accumulated then is converted to gifts, products or redeemable check amounts that can be redeemed for products from their stores on the internet.

In choosing which credit card a person will choose, its always best to understand the purchase habits the person has. A person whos a frequent traveler can maximize his credit card use by subscribing to credit cards that offers air mile rewards. A frequent shopper on the other hand may benefit from his credit card by getting a card that his favorite merchant is offering and later on redeem the points accumulated from the merchants stores.

Six ways to get travel bargains with your frequent flyer plan

Six ways to get travel bargains with your frequent flyer plan

by Charles Brown

The ultimate tools in a smart travelers toolbox are the various loyalty programs offered by airlines and hotel chains. Yet it absolutely baffles me how many people ignore these golden opportunities to get bargain travel deals.

I was spurred to write about this topic after reading a great article in the Fort Worth Star Telegram, called Staying power for frequent-flyer plans. It was about how American Airlines invented the frequent flyer program 25 years ago, and how these plans have changed the travel industry.

Following Americans lead, all the other airlines quickly created their own loyalty programs, and later, the hotel industry created their own versions as well, becoming a win-win for both the companies who wanted customer loyalty, and the travelers who wanted discount travel opportunities.

But how can a traveler or even a person who wants to travel in the future, make the most (ie get the most travel deals) out t of these plans? Here are a few tips”

–Double dip whenever you rent a car or check into a hotel. It boggles my mind how many experienced travelers neglect to do this. If, for example, you are a member of the Hilton Honors program and an airline frequent flyer program, you can earn hotel points and airline miles for the same stay.

–Book your award flights well in advance. This is particularly true for flying to Hawaii or traveling anywhere in December. It is not unusual to see people booking these flights nine to eleven months in advance. The best travel deals in the world cant help you if you cant get on the airplane.

–It is your job to give the airline your frequent flyer number when you travel. Believe it or not, they do not have the means to magically know who you are and what your number is when you fly with them. If you dont identify yourself as a frequent flyer member, you wont receive credit for the flight.

–Take advantage of every non-flight opportunity the airline or hotel gives you to earn miles or points. Become familiar with their websites and learn who their partners are. For example, most airlines are now affiliated with a credit card company. This means you earn miles for every dollar you spend on that card. Think of all the gas you pump, groceries you buy and other expenses you incur on a regular basis that you could be earning miles for that trip to Hawaii.

–Be VERY aware of the programs expiration policy. Most programs will allow you to go up to three years without activity before your miles expire. Activity is defined as anytime you put a mile into the program or take a mile out by spending it on a flight. Because the airlines offer you so many ways to earn miles through their partners and non-flight activities, dont expect a lot of sympathy if you let your miles expire. In most cases they will refuse to reinstate them unless you are willing to buy them back. The point here is that the program is called a frequent flyer program. A member who falls off their radar for three years is about as desirable to the airline as someone who repeatedly bounces checks is to a bank.

–Become familiar with the ins and outs of the program. Most of this information is available on their websites. For example, you will want to know how many miles are needed to fly to certain places at certain times of the year. You will want to know when new partners are added, so you can keep on top of new ways to earn miles.
